Czech Zentiva says developing generic Viagra

PRAGUE, April 15 (Reuters) - Czech drug maker Zentiva (ZNTVsp.PR: Quote, Profile, Research) is working on a generic version of the impotence drug Viagra to be launched on the local market after Pfizer’s (PFE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) patent runs out in 2011, a spokeswoman said.

“We have completed bioequivalent tests,” spokeswoman Vera Kudynova said.

The tests compare a generic drug’s similarity to the original treatment. (Reporting by Petra Vodstrcilova) more on the blog about ed pills.
